- Unplug the card and stop testing it — every attempt can spread the damage.
- Take a photo of any burnt area and of the label on the back of the card.
- Check the power supply cables and connectors for melting too.
What we check
- Which components shorted, and whether the damage spread to the board itself.
- Burnt power connectors and their pins.
- Whether the GPU core and memory survived.
Can it be saved?
It depends on how far the damage went. Many burnt cards only lost components on the power stage, which can be replaced. We tell you honestly after the diagnosis — and if it can't be repaired, you don't pay for the repair.
