It isn't always the card
A weak or ageing power supply, an unstable overclock, or overheating can cause the same symptoms. That's why we test the card on its own on our bench first.
What usually causes it on the card
- Overheating — dried thermal paste, old thermal pads, dusty fans.
- A weak power stage that drops out under load.
- Memory errors that only show up when the card is working hard.
What we do
We run the card under load on the bench and watch its temperatures and behaviour. If the card is fine, we tell you so — and you don't pay for a repair you didn't need.
Questions
Could it just need cleaning?
Sometimes. If the card is overheating, cleaning and new thermal paste can be enough — see our overheating page.
Send us the card model and what it's doing.
A photo of the label on the back of the card and a short description of the fault is enough to start. Prices depend on the fault, so we don't list them here — we diagnose first for free, quote you, and only repair if you say yes.
